Who We Are

Lifeteams is a community of young adults learning about justice and mercy lived out in relationship.  It’s a “hands-on”  experience in ministry, for young adults who are ready to step into the world of marginalized youth.  It’s being a missionary in your own backyard, reaching out to young people who need to see Jesus incarnated in their world.

As a program of Greater Vancouver Youth for Christ, Lifeteams draws on the skills and experience of over forty dedicated youth workers who are building relationships with marginalized youth through a variety of cutting edge youth programs around the Vancouver area. Youth For Christ Vancouver is part of Youth For Christ International – an organization that is involved with youth in over 100 countries around the world. There are almost 2000 full-time staff and over 22,000 part-time staff and volunteers working together around the world in Youth for Christ.

In Canada, Youth For Christ is active in over 90 cities and towns. Our ministry focuses on responsible, effective and culturally sensitive evangelism of youth, communicating and caring in ways that are relevant to this generation.
