We were not born with a natural skillset for active listening. It has to be learned and that takes intentionality and practice. It requires that we enter conversations with our expectations, hilarious stories, and cellphones set on silent. We wait our turn, we put effort into seeing things through their eyes, we hold back the quick answers and we risk not getting it right.

Actively listening is at the centre of the great conversations we all want to have with youth. We’ve put together two new helpsheets to guide you in creating new conversations and developing deeper conversations based on listening well. What a great way to reflect the heart of the God who "lends his ear" to listen to us.
