WHO WE ARE

Lifeteams School of Youth Outreach
Our mandate is unique: to build a force of young urban missionaries who step into the world of marginalized and vulnerable youth across Canada with the life-changing love of Jesus.
We are disciplers, we are mentors, we are teachers, we are specialists in community-based youth work. Come and join us. We guarantee that the Lifeteams School experience will stretch you beyond what you can imagine and engage you in a journey that will continue far beyond this year.

Lifehouse School of Discipleship
If the focus of the learning experience at Lifeteams isn't a fit for you, you might want to check out Lifehouse. This immersive 14 week gap-year program is focused on experiencing community, growing in faith and exploring life. It’s a fresh start in an atmosphere of acceptance, adventure, prayer and wonder, mentored by leaders whose example you can follow as they follow Jesus. Check out the Lifehouse site for more info and application.
EDUCATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS
Students studying at Lifeteams have the benefit of also being co-registered with our main educational partner, Rocky Mountain College (RMC). This opens up the doors for applying for Canada Student Loans, receiving college-level accreditation of courses, completing diploma and degree studies built on your Lifeteams certificate, claiming high school scholarships, and applying R.E.S.P.'s to your education. Lifeteams courses can be transferred into other Bible College programs across Canada as well, leading to careers in church-based or community-based youth work.
After completing Lifeteams, students may choose to continue studying with Rocky Mountain College. You may be interested in pursuing programs such as a Diploma in Counselling/Child and Youth Care with the completion of 30 more credit hours (appox. 1 year full time) or consider degrees such as a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services with a major in Counseling or Child and Youth Care, or a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership Development. Your Lifeteams certificate comprises about one year of each of these programs, all of which are delivered through RMC’s distributed learning platform. This platform allows students to study from home without needing to be on a particular campus, which makes it possible for students to work in the field while earning their credentials.

As a program of Greater Vancouver Youth Unlimited, Lifeteams draws on the skills and experience of over forty dedicated youth workers who are building relationships with marginalized youth through a variety of cutting-edge youth programs around the Vancouver area.
